Lee graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering.  After enduring three years in that industry, he left to pursue a career in animation.  His first job was at Mainframe Entertainment in Canada working on CG television series such as ReBoot and Beast Wars.

After four years at Mainframe, he moved to San Francisco and worked at various production houses animating commercials – most notably, several Hershey’s Kiss spots.

Prior to Nihilistic, he worked at The Orphanage doing character animation for the films Spy Kids 3D, Hellboy, and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

I sit in front of the computer all day here at Nihilistic. How exciting! Haha I'm kidding of course.

I graduated from the academy of art university and as a Californian who grew up playing games, it’s a blast to work in an environment where playing games is mandatory and helpful for work.

My daily schedule involves animating characters for our games and attending animation dailies where the animators get together to review our animations and give each other feedback to make the bestest AND kickass animations.

So, I hope you enjoy our hard work and make sure to buy our games! ;)

Thanks for reading!

Michael Shahan
Animation Director

Michael was born where the Eskimos roam, but grew up near the cows (Vacaville).  He thought he was going to be an engineer, got sick of that, and then went to the Academy of Art in San Francisco…now he is a top notch animator :)

When Michael is not animating people getting hit with weapons, He is actually getting hit with weapons.  He has been a heavy fighter in the SCA for about 15 years, and also enjoys the occasional SCUBA trip.

Animator

Jeremiah is some kind of freak. His workspace is filled with weird Volkswagen paraphernalia, figurines of cartoon characters (Bullwinkle, Wallace, Grommit, Robocop, Mr. T, Lupin), Lego, and classic bicycles.

The poor guy actually drives a beat up 1957 VW bug instead of getting something newer. He isn’t very interesting to talk to because he always swings the conversation around to Volkswagens or bicycles.

Hans Winold
Rigger

Hans was born in a barn under a basketball hoop in southern Indiana.  Having shucked corn as a child, he soon turned to creature development in video games as a happier way to earn a living.  His official title is “senior lead ubber creature development technical director” or “master of time space and dimension,” though he prefers the simpler moniker “reanimator.”

When not staring at the crotches of video game monsters, Hans spends his time plucking stringed instruments and catching humans 30 feet in the air.  Hans also loves all forms of transportation, especially his electric skateboard, and is searching for the only vehicle he does not yet own—a submarine.
